Acupuncture and Fertility

Acupuncture has a long and established history in reproductive medicine. It is a great modality to boost fertility and prepare the body for conception and pregnancy whether couples are trying to conceive naturally or with the help of Assisted Conception Therapy such as IUI, IVF or ICSI.
Research suggests that acupuncture can help regulate a woman's cycle, including when underlying conditions such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, irregular cycles or other signs of hormone imbalance are present. It has also been shown to reduce stress and may boost the flow of blood to the reproductive organs, hence creating an environment for optimum fertility.

Research also suggests that acupuncture can help increase sperm count and improve sperm quality (morphology and motility).
